This book is a means of support and simplification for the detailed booklets already available at Al Manhal UK, and are targeted to be a ‘hands on’ approach for the student of Tajweed. In the 15 years that I have studied and taught Tajweed, I have not found any similar material for the English speaking student in simple, clear English, with practical questions and answers at the end of each lesson. As a teacher of Tajweed, I realised the value and benefit of students engaging in regular exercises in order to strengthen their learning and understanding. I have not found any Tajweed book that also introduces Arabic grammar, which is a key point in understanding and applying the rules related to the Science of Tajweed.

This book is a very helpful revision resource material alongside the detailed booklets. The summarised content in each chapter helps to reinforce knowledge retention of each topic studied. The questions at the end of each chapter further helps in identifying any gaps in knowledge and reinforce the understanding of each topic. By having the chapter end questions printed again with the answers at the back of the book, made it very user-friendly. This book has been an invaluable resource in the preparation of my exams.
